Mediahawk is delighted to confirm the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) as its Charity of the Year for 2026.

As always, the selection followed our annual nomination and voting process, where teams put forward charities they care about deeply. With so many compelling options, choosing just one was no easy task – but NAWT’s mission, impact, and inspiring stories captured the hearts of our staff.

A moving introduction to NAWT’s work

NAWT logo.At the end of January, NAWT visited the Mediahawk office to share more about their rescue and rehoming efforts. The team spoke passionately about the realities of caring for vulnerable animals – and the unexpectedly high costs involved in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming each one.

The visit also gave our team the chance to meet Alma, a gentle rescue greyhound whose story touched everyone who heard it. Alma’s calm and affectionate presence quickly made her the star of the morning, with colleagues happily queuing to give her cuddles. Her journey brought NAWT’s work to life and energised us for the fundraising year ahead.

Looking ahead to a meaningful 2026

With the partnership now underway, Mediahawk is excited to begin a full year of fundraising. Our plans include:

  • Team led fundraising initiatives
  • Sponsored activities and challenges
  • Donation linked review and survey programmes
  • Seasonal events that bring colleagues together

Each effort reflects our commitment to supporting NAWT’s essential work and helping more animals find safety, care, and a loving home.

Mediahawk CEO, Michael Morrell, shared his enthusiasm for the year ahead: “Meeting the team at NAWT – and especially Alma – threw light on the compassion, dedication, and resources required to give every animal the chance they deserve. Our whole team is energised and ready to make a meaningful difference. We’re proud to stand alongside NAWT in 2026 and help them continue their extraordinary work.”

A valued annual tradition

Our charity of the year programme is one of the most rewarding parts of Mediahawk’s culture. With so many outstanding causes nominated each year, the final decision is always a tough one – but having the whole team participate ensures our partnership is rooted in shared purpose and collective enthusiasm.
