Mediahawk is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2025 Charity of the Year partnership with Mind BLMK, raising a record breaking £5,171 to support the charity’s vital mental health services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

Each year, Mediahawk invites colleagues to nominate charities close to their hearts before the whole team casts their votes – a process that always presents a challenge given the number of exceptional organisations put forward. After a closely contested shortlist, Mind BLMK was chosen for 2025, and from the very beginning the entire company embraced the partnership with passion and purpose.

A year of meaningful fundraising

Throughout the year, our team organised and participated in a variety of activities that brought people together while raising funds to support Mind BLMK’s mission.
Key highlights included:

  • The Mental Elf Fun Run – we dressed up as reindeer to gathering sponsorships from friends and family.
  • The company quiz lunch – a friendly competition that united departments and drove generous donations.
  • Christmas gift wrapping sessions – volunteers wrapped presents for colleagues and visitors, raising money while spreading festive cheer.

These activities reflected not only our fundraising energy but also our commitment to supporting mental wellbeing within our local communities.

Celebrating together

To mark the end of the partnership, Mediahawk welcomed Jeanette Skipsey from Mind BLMK to our office for a cheque presentation. Many team members attended – a testament to how deeply the partnership resonated internally.

Joining them was Mediahawk CEO, Michael Morrell, who expressed his pride in the team’s efforts: “Supporting Mind BLMK in 2025 has been a genuine honour. The enthusiasm our team has shown – not just in raising funds, but in championing the importance of mental health – has been inspiring. Knowing that our efforts will help Mind BLMK continue their crucial work makes this achievement incredibly meaningful for all of us.”

Jeanette Skipsey from Mind BLMK responded saying: “Mind BLMK are truly honoured to have Mediahawk as our Charity of the Year partner 2025. Your passion for our cause and proactive enthusiasm have created a robust and positive impact in providing mental health and wellbeing support for our communities.”

Our charity selection ethos

Every year, choosing a charity is both exciting and difficult – the list of worthy nominees grows richer annually. What never changes is our commitment to involving the entire Mediahawk team in the final decision, ensuring our chosen charity reflects our shared values and passions.
